The short answer
The right SourceWhale alternative depends on which part of SourceWhale you are replacing. For sourcing plus email outreach at a published price, Juicebox starts at $99 a seat and Fetcher at $115 a month. For an agency CRM with sequences built in, Recruiterflow lists $119 a user and Recruit CRM Business $135, both on annual billing. If the real bottleneck is deciding who to contact, HireAgent sources, screens and ranks candidates and drafts the outreach from $299 a month. SourceWhale itself publishes no price.

SourceWhale alternatives compared on published price
SourceWhale began as an outreach layer for recruitment agencies: find a candidate or a client contact, look up their email and phone, and drop them into a multi-step sequence that writes back to Bullhorn or whichever ATS you run. It has grown since. The site now lists eight modules, from AI sourcing and a dialer to a meeting notetaker, and its own CRM and ATS, which it describes as the system of record the full platform is designed around.
That growth is the reason agencies start looking around. A team that bought SourceWhale to send sequences is now being sold an ATS migration, and the price is never on the page. Our SourceWhale pricing breakdown collects the figures that circulate (about $200 to $290 a user a month in third-party roundups, contracts of about $3,300 to $17,000 a year per Vendr) and shows how little of it traces to a primary source.
The table sorts the realistic replacements by the job they take over.
| Tool | What it replaces in SourceWhale | Published US price | Contact data |
|---|---|---|---|
| Juicebox | Sourcing, contact lookup and email sequences | Starter $99 a seat annual or $119 monthly, Growth $179 or $199, agents $199 each a month | 500 contact credits on Starter, 1,500 per seat on Growth |
| Fetcher | Sourcing and automated outreach, with a human sourcer on the top plan | Self-serve $115 a month, Growth $379 annual or $499 monthly, Amplify $649 or $849 | 300 leads a month on Self-serve, up to 2,500 or 5,000 a year above it |
| Recruiterflow | Sequences inside an agency ATS and CRM | $119 a user annual, $149 monthly. AIRA, the AI tier, is quoted | No contact finder on the priced plan |
| Recruit CRM | Multichannel sequences inside an agency ATS and CRM | Pro $95, Business $135, Enterprise $215 a user annual ($109, $159, $259 monthly). Sequences start on Business | Credits: 100, 200 or 2,000 a user a month, worth $0.10 each |
| Loxo | Sourcing, outreach and the ATS in one platform | Core from $149 a user a month, Professional $199, billed annually and paid up front | 2,500 pooled credits a user a month on Professional, metering agent work |
| hireEZ | Sourcing and outreach across the open web | $494 a month for one Solo recruiter seat, teams quoted | No allowance published |
| HireAgent | Sourcing, screening and ranking, and the first outreach draft | $299, $799 or $1,999 a month, or $1,794, $4,794 and $11,994 a year | Sourcing volume scales with the plan |
Which SourceWhale alternative fits your agency
You mostly use SourceWhale to find people and email them
Then a sourcing tool with outreach built in replaces most of it for less. Juicebox is the cleanest published option. Starter is $99 a seat a month on annual billing with 500 contact credits, and Growth is $179 with 1,500 credits a seat for up to five seats. Its agents are $199 each a month and can be shared across the team. The catch for agencies is the ATS: the Juicebox integration with your ATS or CRM sits on the custom Business plan. Our Juicebox pricing guide works out what one to five recruiters pay.
Fetcher fits a desk that would rather receive candidates than search for them. Self-serve is $115 a month for 300 leads a month and one seat. Growth ($379 a month on annual billing) and Amplify ($649) are metered per year rather than per month, and Amplify adds a dedicated sourcer working four to six of your roles. ATS integration starts on Growth. Fetcher pricing sets out what each tier really includes.
You want sequences inside the system you already live in
If recruiters hate switching between an ATS and an outreach tool, buy an agency platform with the sequencer inside. Recruiterflow lists $119 a user a month on annual billing, $149 monthly, with sequences and automation on the priced plan. Its AI layer, AIRA, is a separate quote, and there is no phone and email finder on the priced plan, so you would keep a data provider. The details are in our Recruiterflow pricing breakdown.
Recruit CRM is cheaper per seat but rations the features that matter here. Multichannel sequences start on Business at $135 a user a month annual, and AI sourcing, enrichment and the notetaker run on credits, 200 a user a month on Business at $0.10 each. It offers a 30-day trial, which neither SourceWhale nor most of this list does. See Recruit CRM pricing for the plan by plan math.
Loxo is the closest like-for-like if you are tempted by SourceWhale's all-in-one pitch. Core starts at $149 a user a month with AI search, and Professional, $199, adds the agents and 2,500 credits a user a month. Both are annual and paid up front, so five recruiters on Professional means a check near $11,940 at signing. Loxo pricing covers the credit rules and the unpriced boosts.
You run executive or retained search
Retained desks send fewer, longer messages and care more about the client portal and search reporting than about sequence volume. The platforms built for that are covered in our executive search software pricing comparison. The short version: Clockwork Recruiting sells one plan with everything in it at $149 a user a month on annual billing (read in September 2026), and Loxo Core is the same price with a broader sourcing index. Neither needs a separate sequencer for a retained desk's volume.
Your bottleneck is deciding who to contact
Every tool above, SourceWhale included, makes sending faster. None of them reads forty profiles against the brief and tells you which six are worth a message, with the reasons written down for the client. That is the step that eats a recruiter's morning, and it is the one HireAgent is built for.
Give HireAgent a role brief and it sources matching candidates, screens and ranks them against structured criteria into a shortlist with the evidence behind each score, drafts personalized outreach and books the interviews. A recruiter approves every step that leaves your domain. Plans are $299 a month for one seat and three open roles, $799 for three seats and ten roles with ATS integration, and $1,999 for ten seats, or half that a month on annual billing. Many agencies keep their ATS and their sequencer and add it for the screening. You can see the plans on HireAgent pricing.
What to check before you switch from SourceWhale
- Where your sequences and history live. If you ran SourceWhale on top of Bullhorn or JobAdder, the activity is already in your ATS. If you moved to SourceWhale CRM and ATS, plan an export before the renewal date, not after it.
- How contact data is billed. SourceWhale charges Data credits per lookup across several providers. Juicebox counts contact credits per seat, Fetcher counts leads, Recruit CRM sells credits at $0.10, and Recruiterflow has no finder on the priced plan. If you need a stand-alone email finder with verification built in, price it next to the platform rather than inside it.
- Who else sends from it. Business development staff often use SourceWhale for client prospecting. A candidate sourcing tool will not cover that, so check our guide to prospecting tools for recruitment agencies before you cancel seats.
- The notice period. SourceWhale prints no contract term. Find the cancellation notice in your order form now, because annual contracts usually need 30 to 90 days.
