Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of HireAgent, the AI recruiter agent that sources, screens and ranks candidates against structured criteria and returns a scored shortlist. Last updated: June 2026.

Acceptance of these terms

By using hireagent.ai or signing up for HireAgent, you agree to these terms of service. If you are acting on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What HireAgent is

HireAgent is an AI recruiter agent for hiring teams. You brief the agent on a role, and the service sources candidates, screens and ranks them against structured criteria, drafts personalized outreach and helps schedule interviews, returning a scored shortlist with per-criterion notes, evidence-linked rationale and a ranked order. It is offered on paid plans.

HireAgent is decision support. The agent does the legwork and ranks candidates, but you remain responsible for every hiring decision. The shortlist helps you compare candidates on relevant criteria, and a human at your organization always makes the final hire.

Human makes the final decision

You agree that HireAgent does not make hiring decisions and is not used as the sole basis for any employment decision. Scores and rankings are inputs for a human reviewer, who must apply judgment and consider context before deciding to advance, reject or hire any candidate. You are responsible for ensuring a qualified person reviews the results and makes the final decision.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using the service in line with all laws that apply to you, including employment, anti-discrimination, data protection and privacy laws. You agree to provide accurate information, to only source and submit candidate data you have the right to use, and to obtain any consent your candidates are entitled to and to disclose the use of AI where required. You are responsible for reviewing the shortlists before you act on them and for the decisions you make.

Acceptable use and no unlawful discrimination

HireAgent is intended for legitimate hiring use by employers, teams and agencies recruiting candidates for roles. You agree to use the service responsibly and to comply with all applicable laws and platform policies.

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Make or support hiring decisions that unlawfully discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic.
  • Source or submit candidate data you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights or privacy.
  • Recruit or contact candidates without the notice, consent or AI disclosure required where you operate.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service or circumvent its limits.
  • Resell or redistribute the service except under a written agreement with us.

You are responsible for the candidate data you source or submit and for how you use the shortlists, outreach and rankings.

Your content and data

As between you and us, you keep all rights to the roles, candidate data and outreach you submit or generate and to the shortlists you receive. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process that data and provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell your data and we do not use candidate data to train public or shared models or for anyone else's marketing.

Accounts and access

You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep any credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including the actions of your hiring seats. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or access has been used without your permission.

Plans, billing and refunds

HireAgent is offered on paid plans, including Solo, Growth, Scale and Enterprise. All prices and charges are in US dollars. Plans are sized by hiring seats and active roles per month. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly depending on the term you choose, until cancelled. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change our plans and prices, and we will give notice of changes that affect an active subscription.

Service availability

We work to keep HireAgent available and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change or temporarily suspend features to maintain and improve the service.

Intellectual property

HireAgent, including its software, models, screening criteria, interface, content and brand, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the service except as expressly permitted. The names of other companies, platforms and products referenced on this site are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service is error-free, and we make no warranty about the hiring outcomes, job performance or results that follow from using a shortlist. Scores and rankings are decision support, not a guarantee of a candidate's future performance. The figures shown on this site are typical outcomes, not guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireAgent and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from any hiring decision you make. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and cancel your plan. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others, to candidates or to the platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
