Lever Pricing and Lever ATS Cost per Year for a Hiring Team
The short answer
Lever does not publish a price. Its pricing page describes one core platform that bundles the ATS, the CRM, reporting, AI screening and interview summaries, plus quoted add-ons, and says pricing is available on request based on organization size and hiring needs. Vendr, which tracks real purchases, shows a median of $15,536 a year across 321 purchases, with deals from $6,720 to $51,540 and about 16% saved off the first quote. Vendr last updated that page in February 2026, so treat the numbers as a floor for a new quote, not a current rate.

What Lever actually charges
Lever pricing as far as anyone can verify it, read on 1 November 2026
We opened lever.co/pricing and Vendr's Lever page on 1 November 2026. Lever prints no dollar figure and names no priced plans, so each row names who published the number and what it rests on.
| Plan | Price | Billing | Where the figure comes from | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rate card on lever.co Stated by Lever | None published | The pricing page describes a single core platform and its FAQ says pricing is available on request, based on organization size and hiring needs | No free plan, no self-serve purchase, no per-user or per-employee rate printed | Nothing to budget from. Every Lever deal is a quote |
| Core platform Stated by Lever | Quoted | ATS and CRM in one platform, reporting and analytics, AI powered screening, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries, AI fraud prevention signals and key integrations | Lever says every plan includes the ATS, CRM, reporting, analytics and integrations | A team that wants applicant tracking and pipeline CRM in one system |
| Add-ons Stated by Lever | Quoted | Candidate Insights, AI Screening by VONQ and Onboarding are listed as add-ons that need a quote | Each one is a separate line on the order form | Buyers who want agent style screening on the career site or onboarding in the same contract |
| Vendr median buyer Third party, not published | $15,536 a year | Vendr Lever page, based on 321 purchases, page last updated February 2026. Observed range $6,720 to $51,540 a year. The page does not say which add-ons or headcount each deal covers | Annual contract value, quoted per customer | The fairest single anchor for a mid-size employer |
| Typical negotiated saving Third party, not published | About 16% below the first quote | Vendr average across the same dataset. Multi-year terms, a competing quote and fiscal quarter end are the usual levers | Applies to the quote, not to a published price | Setting a target when a proposal arrives |
| What Vendr says drives the quote Third party, not published | Size, requisitions, seats, term, add-ons | Vendr lists company size, active job requisitions, user seats, contract term and add-on modules as the inputs | Lever prices the hiring organization, not one recruiter seat | The list to bring numbers for before the first call |
Before you budget
What moves a Lever quote up or down
Lever's own FAQ and Vendr agree on the same handful of drivers. None of them is a per-seat price list.
Organization size and hiring needs
The main driver
Lever says size and hiring needs set the price. Bring annual hires, open roles and recruiter count to the first call so the number is built on your shape, not a default.
Open requisitions
Sizing basis
Vendr names active requisitions as an input. A burst of 40 open roles for one quarter can price like a permanent 40, so ask how the count is measured.
Add-on modules
Separate lines
Candidate Insights, AI Screening by VONQ and Onboarding need their own quote. If the AI screening is the reason you are buying, price it as a line, not as part of the base.
Implementation and migration
Not published
Lever prints nothing on implementation fees. Ask for data migration and training as fixed fees in writing.
Term length
Discount lever
Multi-year commitments usually buy a lower annual price in return for lock in. Get the year two price, the cap on increases and the renewal notice window in the order form.
What teams actually pay
Lever cost per year against HireAgent, at three hiring shapes
Lever prints no price, so the Lever column uses Vendr's observed figures at the size each most plausibly describes. Neither column is a quote. Ours is the listed HireAgent plan on annual billing, and it runs next to the ATS you already have, so this compares what each adds, not a like for like swap.
| Scenario | Lever (Vendr) | HireAgent | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 roles open, 3 recruiters | From about $6,720 a year at Vendr's low end, plus add-ons | $4,794 a year (Growth, 3 seats, up to 10 open roles, ATS integration) | Lever gives you the system of record and the pipeline CRM. HireAgent gives you the sourced, screened and ranked shortlist that fills it. |
| 40 roles open, 10 recruiters | Around $15,536 a year at Vendr's median, plus add-ons | $11,994 a year (Scale, 10 seats, up to 40 open roles, SSO) | The two are not rivals at this size. Lever tracks the pipeline, HireAgent fills the top of it and feeds approved candidates into the ATS you run. |
| 120 roles open, 30 recruiters | Toward $51,540 a year at Vendr's high end, more with add-ons | $35,982 a year (Enterprise, 3 Scale units, up to 120 open roles) | At this scale the ATS contract covers process and reporting. Sourcing and screening volume is a separate line, and that is the one an agent replaces. |
Lever figures are third party: Vendr median $15,536 and range $6,720 to $51,540 a year, page last updated February 2026, before implementation and add-ons. HireAgent plans scale with seats, open roles and sourcing volume and are shown at the plan that fits each team.
What Lever publishes, read on 1 November 2026
We opened lever.co/pricing on 1 November 2026. It describes one core platform, an AI powered hiring platform with the ATS and CRM together, reporting, AI screening, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries and fraud prevention signals. There is no dollar figure, per user rate, per employee rate or term anywhere on the page. The FAQ says pricing is available upon request and depends on organization size and hiring needs.
Three add-ons need a separate quote: Candidate Insights, AI Screening by VONQ and Onboarding. No separate sourcing tier is listed, so outbound candidate search is whatever the CRM side of the core platform gives you.
How much does Lever cost?
Expect a low five figure annual contract for a mid-size employer. Vendr, which aggregates real software purchases, shows a median of $15,536 a year across 321 purchases, with observed deals from $6,720 to $51,540. Buyers saved about 16% on average against the first quote. That page was last updated in February 2026, so a quote today can land above it.
Then add services and add-ons. Our survey of AI recruiting software pricing shows how the same quote-first pattern runs through most of the category.
Does Lever charge per user?
Lever prints no per user and no per employee rate, and its FAQ ties the cost to organization size and hiring needs. Vendr lists user seats as one input among several. A per seat price you find elsewhere is unsourced.
In practice, adding a recruiter changes the quote less than doubling your open roles. Ask the account executive what the number assumes for annual hires, requisitions and users, and what happens to the price if any of them grows by half.
Is there a Lever free trial?
We found none. lever.co routes evaluation through sales, with no free plan or self-serve purchase, read on 1 November 2026.
If you want proof before a contract, ask for a scoped pilot with agreed measures: time to fill, recruiter hours per hire and interview scheduling lag.
Lever contract terms to check before you sign
Get the term, the year two price, the cap on increases and the renewal notice window written into the order form. Ask which AI features sit in the core platform and which belong to a paid add-on, since the AI screening by VONQ is quoted separately. If you hire in New York City, AI that scores or ranks candidates also falls under Local Law 144, which requires a bias audit and candidate notice; our guide to AI hiring laws and compliance covers the obligations.
When Lever is worth it, and what it does not do for you
Lever is worth its price when you want applicant tracking and a pipeline CRM in one system and a team that will work the inbound and the nurture list. At a $15,536 median that is a reasonable cost for a company hiring steadily.
It is not the tool that goes and finds the people. The searching, the screening against your criteria and the first message still fall to your recruiters unless you add something on top. That is the gap an AI recruiting agent fills. HireAgent sources candidates against your criteria, screens and ranks them into an explainable shortlist, and pushes the ones you approve into your ATS. If you are weighing a different ATS instead, our Greenhouse pricing page and Ashby pricing analysis cover two of the usual alternatives.
Need open roles filled, not another ATS contract?
HireAgent sources candidates against your criteria, screens and ranks them into an explainable shortlist, drafts the outreach and books the interviews, next to the ATS you already run. Plans start at $299 a month, published, with no implementation fee, and a human makes every hire.

FAQ
Lever pricing questions, answered
The questions buyers actually ask before they sign.
How much does Lever cost?
Lever does not publish prices. Vendr showed a median of $15,536 a year across 321 purchases, with deals from $6,720 to $51,540, on a page last updated in February 2026. Add-ons and implementation are separate lines, so a quote today can come in higher.
What does the Lever core platform include?
Read on lever.co/pricing on 1 November 2026: the ATS and CRM together, reporting and analytics, AI powered screening, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries, AI fraud prevention signals and key integrations. Candidate Insights, AI Screening by VONQ and Onboarding are quoted add-ons.
Does Lever have a free trial?
We found none. lever.co offers no free plan, trial or self-serve purchase, read on 1 November 2026. A scoped pilot is something buyers negotiate, not a default offer.
Why do Lever cost estimates vary so much?
Because the deals differ in kind. A 50-person company and a 2,000-person employer with several add-ons are priced very differently, and third party figures rarely state headcount, requisitions or modules. Ask for the scope behind any number.
Is Lever worth it for a small recruiting team?
Often yes if you want ATS and CRM in one place, but it will not source or screen for you. A team with a few recruiters and 10 to 40 open roles gets more pipeline from software that finds, ranks and contacts candidates and then feeds the ATS it already runs.
What adds AI sourcing and screening on top of Lever?
HireAgent sources, screens, ranks and drafts outreach from $299 a month or $1,794 a year, with no implementation fee, and connects to Lever so approved candidates land in your pipeline. For applicant tracking and pipeline CRM, Lever remains the system of record.
