The short answer
The right Phenom alternative depends on which Phenom module you actually use. For a full talent experience platform with career sites and internal mobility, Eightfold and Beamery are the like-for-like rivals and both cost five or six figures. For a talent CRM, Gem and Findem cover most of the ground. For sourcing at a published price, SeekOut starts at $149 a month for three seats and Juicebox at $99 a seat. If the job is filling this quarter's open roles, HireAgent sources, screens and ranks candidates and drafts the outreach from $299 a month. Phenom itself publishes no price; Vendr shows a $98,313 median.
Vendor prices below were read on each vendor's own page or store listing on the date shown in our pricing pages. Figures marked Vendr are buyer-reported medians, not list prices.
Phenom alternatives compared on price and the job they replace
Phenom sells one name and many modules. Its site lists a Talent CRM, an Intelligent Career Site, Automated Interview Scheduling, Onboarding, a Talent Marketplace, Career Pathing, Workforce Intelligence and an AI Interviewer, plus agents for voice screening and fraud detection. Most teams that shop for a replacement use two or three of those pieces while paying for the whole deployment.
So "alternative" means different things to different buyers. An employer replacing Phenom's career site and internal mobility needs another enterprise platform. A talent acquisition team that mainly uses the CRM and scheduling can move to something far smaller. Our Phenom pricing breakdown shows what deals run, from about $37,500 a year at the low end to $112,278 at the high end in Vendr's data, and why the per employee estimates need care.
| Tool | What it replaces in Phenom | US price | Published or quote only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eightfold AI | Talent intelligence, skills data, internal mobility | Starter Edition USD 25,000 a quarter on the SAP Store, one year minimum, so $100,000 a year | Entry edition published on SAP Store, rest quoted |
| Beamery | Talent CRM, career sites, workforce intelligence | Vendr median $76,797 a year, range $24,717 to $204,153 | Quote only |
| Findem | Sourcing and talent CRM on a people data layer | Talent License $25,000 for 12 months on AWS Marketplace; Vendr median $58,000 | One listing published, rest quoted |
| Gem | Talent CRM, sequences and sourcing | Custom by company headcount; Startup Program for 1 to 10 FTE at $130 a month billed yearly | Quote only above the startup tier |
| SeekOut | Sourcing and matching | Recruit Core $149 a month annual or $179 monthly, 3 seats; Vendr median $20,000 a year | Core published, higher plans quoted |
| Juicebox | Sourcing search and email outreach | Starter $99 a seat annual, Growth $179, agents $199 each a month | Published |
| HireAgent | Sourcing, screening and ranking for open roles, outreach drafts, interview booking | $299, $799 and $1,999 a month, or $1,794, $4,794 and $11,994 a year | Published |
Which Phenom alternative fits which team
Start with what you would miss. If the answer is the career site, onboarding and internal marketplace, you are buying another enterprise platform and the budget stays in six figures. If it is the CRM pipeline and candidate search, the market below Phenom is wide and mostly priced in the open. If it is "nothing, we just need roles filled", the question is whether a platform was the right purchase.
Enterprise talent platforms: Eightfold and Beamery
Eightfold models skills across employees and candidates and uses that for hiring, mobility and workforce planning. It is also one of the few to show a number: a Starter Edition on the SAP Store at USD 25,000 a quarter with a one-year minimum, which puts the floor at $100,000 a year. Our Eightfold AI pricing post walks through the listing. Beamery leans toward skills data and workforce intelligence rather than the candidate experience layer; see Beamery pricing for its range. Choose Phenom over both when the career site and candidate experience are the priority.
Talent CRM: Gem and Findem
Gem sells Gem with your ATS and Gem All-in-One, both priced by company headcount. It no longer publishes the per seat prices older comparisons quote. The one number on its page is a Startup Program for companies of 1 to 10 FTE at $130 a month billed yearly. See Gem pricing for how the quote is built. Findem pairs a large people data layer with CRM and outreach; its AWS Marketplace listing shows a Talent License at $25,000 for 12 months plus usage fees. Our Findem pricing page has the detail.
Sourcing at a published price: SeekOut and Juicebox
If Phenom's CRM and search are the screens your recruiters live in, a dedicated sourcing tool replaces them for a fraction of the cost. SeekOut Recruit Core is $149 a month on annual billing or $179 monthly and includes three seats, with 500 contact credits for the account. Juicebox starts at $99 a seat on annual billing and sells AI agents at $199 each a month. Neither runs a career site, onboarding or a marketplace. They find people and help you contact them.
Interview scheduling on its own
Some buyers pay for Phenom mainly because candidates book interviews without email tennis. That job is narrow. Inside a recruiting agent it comes with the shortlist; for the rest of the office, an AI assistant that schedules meetings and drafts email handles the same coordination without a talent platform behind it.
What does a Phenom alternative cost for a mid-sized team?
Take a company with 40 open roles and 10 recruiters. On Vendr's median, Phenom runs about $98,313 a year before integration, career site work and training, which are separate lines. Eightfold's published starter edition is $100,000 a year and Beamery's Vendr median is $76,797, so moving sideways to another platform does not save much.
Moving down does. SeekOut Core covers three sourcing seats for $1,788 a year, though a team of ten would be pushed onto a quoted plan, where Vendr's median is $20,000. HireAgent Scale covers 10 seats and up to 40 open roles for $11,994 a year, with no implementation fee, and does the screening and ranking that sourcing tools leave to recruiters.
Price is not the whole comparison. A sourcing tool or an agent does not replace Phenom's career site, onboarding or internal mobility. If those are live and used, keep them. If they were sold and never adopted, you are paying platform rates for a candidate search.
Is Phenom worth replacing?
Replace it when renewal is near and usage shows most of the suite idle: recruiters search and send campaigns, but nobody opens the workforce dashboards and the career site runs on something else. In that case you are paying for the deployment, not the work.
Keep it when it is wired into your ATS and HRIS, runs the career site candidates actually use and feeds internal mobility for a large workforce. Few tools replace that, and migration cost is real. Ask for the renewal quote with each module and each AI agent listed separately, so you can see what you would drop.
What is the best Phenom alternative for filling open roles?
If what you need is shortlists for the roles open right now, software that does the recruiting work fits better than a second talent platform. HireAgent takes a role brief, sources matching candidates, screens and ranks them against structured criteria into a shortlist with the evidence behind every score, drafts personalized outreach and books interviews with anyone who replies. A person approves every decision. It works next to the ATS you already run and needs no migration project.
It does not do career sites, onboarding or workforce planning. Plans are $299, $799 and $1,999 a month, or half that per month on annual billing, sized by seats and open roles. If your team mostly ranks inbound applicants, read candidate ranking software; if it hunts for people who never applied, start with AI sourcing software.

What are the main Phenom competitors?
The like-for-like Phenom competitors are Eightfold AI and Beamery, both enterprise talent platforms with skills data and internal mobility. Gem and Findem compete on talent CRM and sourcing. SeekOut and Juicebox compete only on sourcing, at published or lower prices.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Phenom?
Yes, if you do not need a career site and internal mobility. SeekOut Core is $149 a month for three seats, Juicebox starts at $99 a seat, and HireAgent covers sourcing, screening and ranking for 10 seats and 40 roles at $11,994 a year. Phenom's Vendr median is $98,313 before services.
Phenom vs Eightfold, which costs more?
On published figures, Eightfold's SAP Store starter edition is $100,000 a year with a one-year minimum, close to Phenom's $98,313 Vendr median. Both quote everything above entry level, so the real comparison is two written quotes for the same modules.
Phenom vs Beamery, which is better?
Phenom is the stronger pick when the career site and candidate experience matter most. Beamery is stronger on skills and workforce intelligence. Vendr shows Phenom at $98,313 against Beamery's $76,797, so neither is the budget option.
What is a good Phenom alternative for a small recruiting team?
A small team rarely needs a talent experience platform. A sourcing tool such as SeekOut Core or Juicebox, or an agent such as HireAgent that also screens and ranks, covers the daily work at a published monthly price and needs no implementation project.
