HireVue Pricing and HireVue Cost per Month and Year for Essential, Enterprise and Premium

The short answer

HireVue does not publish a price. Its pricing page shows no plan, figure or term, only a demo request and an ROI calculator. Vendr, which tracks real purchases, showed a median of $20,900 a year on 23 October 2026, with deals from $9,794 to $41,056 across its three plans, Essential, Enterprise and Premium. Most roundups still quote about $35,000 a year for Essential and a $49,855 average, figures we could not find on Vendr today. Implementation is reported at $15,000 to $40,000 on top.

Before you budget

What moves a HireVue quote up or down

HireVue prices the program, not the recruiter seat. Every source we read agrees on the same drivers: how many interviews and assessments you run, which modules you switch on, how deep the integration goes and how long you commit.

Interview and assessment volume

The main driver

HireVue says it has completed 70 million interviews and 200 million assessments, so it is built for volume. Your contract is sized on the volume you commit to, and roundups report per-interview surcharges above it.

Plan tier

Essential, Enterprise or Premium

Vendr lists the same three plans. AI screening sits above Essential in the roundups, and the assessment library sits in Premium. Ask which features you lose on the tier below the one quoted.

Modules

Quoted each

The site lists Match and Apply (a website chat agent), AI Interviewer, Assessments, Assessment Builder, Video Interviewing, scheduling and an interview co-pilot for Zoom or Teams. Get every module as its own line.

ATS integration

Inside implementation

HireVue says it enriches 45+ ATS. A prebuilt connector is cheaper than a custom one, and Pin reports $5,000 to $20,000 for custom ATS work.

Term and renewal

Multi-year reported

Roundups report two to three year terms and no month-to-month billing. A Vendr buyer reports auto-renewal with 60 days notice to opt out. Put the notice date in your calendar the day you sign.

What teams actually pay

HireVue cost per year against HireAgent, at three hiring shapes

HireVue prints no price and does not price by seat, so the HireVue column uses Vendr's observed range and the roundup bands at the size each describes. Neither column is a quote. Ours is the listed HireAgent plan on annual billing.

Scenario HireVue (Vendr and roundups) HireAgent Worth knowing
3 roles open, 1 recruiter From about $9,794 a year at Vendr's low end, plus setup $1,794 a year (Solo, 1 seat, up to 3 open roles) At three roles the hard part is usually finding people, not interviewing hundreds of applicants. A video interview platform has little to process.
10 roles open, 3 recruiters Around $20,900 a year at Vendr's median, plus implementation $4,794 a year (Growth, 3 seats, up to 10 open roles, ATS integration) If each role pulls 300 applicants, HireVue's one-way interviews save real hours. If you need to find and rank people for each role, HireAgent does that work.
40 roles open, 10 recruiters $35,000 to $50,000+ a year in the roundups, plus $15,000 to $40,000 one time $11,994 a year (Scale, 10 seats, up to 40 open roles, SSO) The gap is roughly three to four times before implementation. The two tools also do different jobs, so many teams would run both.

HireVue figures are third-party: Vendr median $20,900 and range $9,794 to $41,056 a year (read 23 Oct 2026), roundup bands of about $35,000 for Essential and $50,000 to $100,000+ for Enterprise, plus $15,000 to $40,000 of implementation. HireAgent plans scale with seats, open roles and sourcing volume and are shown at the annual rate, half the monthly price.

What HireVue publishes, read on 23 October 2026

We opened hirevue.com/pricing on 23 October 2026. It carries no plan name, price, minimum or contract term. The only pricing copy is a prompt, "Need help choosing the right plan for your business?", a Request Demo button and a link to an ROI calculator. The one cost statement on the page is about candidates: HireVue is free for them and needs no app download.

What the site does lay out is the product. HireVue sells Match and Apply, a chat agent on your careers site that guides applicants to a role; an AI Interviewer that gives every applicant a screening conversation at any hour; video interviewing, live and on demand; an interview co-pilot that joins live interviews on Zoom or Teams with summaries and scores; Assessments and an Assessment Builder; and scheduling, automation and fraud and cheating controls. It claims 40% of the Fortune 100 as customers, 70 million interviews and 200 million assessments completed, an integration layer across 45+ ATS, and SOC, ISO and FedRAMP coverage.

HireVue merged with Modern Hire in 2023, which is where much of the Premium assessment suite comes from. That history matters for pricing, because the assessments are the part roundups describe as add-ons on the lower plans.

How much does HireVue cost?

Expect a five figure annual contract. Vendr, which aggregates real software purchases, showed a median of $20,900 a year on 23 October 2026, with observed deals from $9,794 to $41,056. Its page lists three plans, HireVue Essential, Enterprise and Premium, and does not state how many deals the figures come from.

The roundups you will find above this page quote higher numbers. Pin (updated June 2026) says Essential starts at about $35,000 a year and that the average contract across Vendr transactions is $49,855, with large deals above $145,000. HappyRobot (September 2026) repeats the $35,000 and $49,855 figures and puts Premium at $200,000 or more. noon.ai (September 2026) gives about $25,000 a year for mid-market teams and $50,000 to $300,000+ for enterprise. We could not find the $35,000 or $49,855 figures on Vendr's page today. The likely reading is that the roundups copied an older Vendr snapshot, and that a mid-sized employer should treat $35,000 as the top of a fair entry quote rather than its floor.

Then add implementation. Pin and HappyRobot both report $15,000 to $40,000 one time, and Pin adds $5,000 to $20,000 for a custom ATS connection. Pin also reports that real first-year cost runs 30% to 60% above the license quoted at signature once add-ons and overages land. Our survey of AI recruiting software pricing shows the same split across the category: quoted vendors bill setup separately, published ones mostly do not.

Does HireVue charge per interview or per candidate?

Not as a list price. HireVue sells an annual program sized on the volume you commit to, priced by headcount, interview volume and modules rather than per recruiter seat. HappyRobot reports a per-interview equivalent of roughly $5 to $30 depending on interview type and volume, from unnamed procurement estimates, and both Pin and HappyRobot report overage charges once you pass the contracted volume.

That makes the volume number the most important line in the quote. If you commit to 20,000 interviews and run 12,000, you paid for 8,000 you did not use. If you run 28,000, you pay the overage rate. Ask for both numbers in writing, and ask whether unused volume rolls into year two.

Is there a HireVue free trial?

No. Nothing on hirevue.com offers an employer trial, a free plan or a plan you can buy without a demo, and every roundup we read agrees. HireVue is free for candidates only.

If you want proof before a multi-year contract, ask for a paid pilot on one job family with agreed measures: applicant to interview completion rate, time from application to recruiter review, recruiter hours per hire and pass-through rates by group. Pin notes that a 30 to 60 day pilot at a reduced rate is not standard, so it is something you negotiate, not something you are offered.

HireVue contract terms to check before you sign

Roundups report two to three year commitments and no month-to-month billing. A buyer at a 201 to 1,000 employee company reported on Vendr that HireVue contracts auto-renew and require 60 days notice to opt out. Those are third-party reports, so get the term, the year two price, the cap on increases and the notice window written into the order form.

Two further lines deserve attention if you hire in New York City or other places that regulate automated hiring tools. AI scoring of interviews falls under rules such as New York City Local Law 144, which requires an annual bias audit and candidate notice. HireVue publishes an AI explainability statement, which helps, but the employer carries the notice duty. Ask who produces the audit, how often and at whose cost. Our guide to AI hiring laws and compliance lists the obligations by state.

When HireVue is worth it, and when it is the wrong tool

HireVue is worth its price when you have more applicants than recruiters can talk to. A national retailer, a bank hiring a few hundred contact center staff a quarter or a graduate program reading thousands of applications gets real hours back from one-way interviews, an AI interviewer that never sleeps and validated assessments. Few tools match HireVue at that scale, and its compliance paperwork is mature.

It is the wrong tool when the problem is that the right people never applied. Everything HireVue lists works on applicants who come to you: careers site chat, interviews, assessments and scheduling. It does not list outbound sourcing of passive candidates from a people database, ranking them against a scorecard or writing personalized outreach to people who are not looking. A team hiring engineers, nurses with specific credentials or sales leaders spends its week there.

HireAgent works on that part of the job. Give it a role brief and it sources matching candidates, screens and ranks them against structured criteria into a shortlist with the evidence behind every score, drafts personalized outreach and books interviews, and a person approves every decision. It does not run video interviews or psychometric assessments. Plans are $299, $799 and $1,999 a month, or $1,794, $4,794 and $11,994 a year, with no implementation fee. If interview booking is your bottleneck, see automated interview scheduling; if reading applications is, see candidate screening software.

Questions to ask on a HireVue demo

What interview and assessment volume is this quote built on, what is the overage rate per interview above it, and does unused volume carry over? Volume is the price, so get it as a number.

Which plan is this, Essential, Enterprise or Premium, and which features on this demo are not in it? AI screening, scheduling and the assessment library are the lines roundups most often report as add-ons.

What is implementation, as a fixed fee, and does it include the connection to our ATS? Ask for training and a custom connector as separate lines.

What is the term, the year two price, the cap on increases and the auto-renewal notice period? Compare the answers with the published prices on our Paradox pricing and candidate evaluation software pages before you sign.

Need candidates, not more interviews?

HireAgent sources candidates against your criteria, screens and ranks them into an explainable shortlist, drafts the outreach and books the interviews, next to the ATS you already run. Plans start at $299 a month, published, with no implementation fee, and a human makes every hire.

FAQ

HireVue pricing questions, answered

The questions buyers actually ask before they sign.

How much does HireVue cost?

HireVue does not publish prices. Vendr showed a median of $20,900 a year on 23 October 2026, with deals from $9,794 to $41,056. Roundups quote about $35,000 a year for Essential and $50,000 to $100,000 or more for Enterprise, plus $15,000 to $40,000 of implementation.

What is HireVue pricing per month?

HireVue does not sell monthly plans. Roundups report annual or multi-year contracts with no month-to-month billing. Vendr's $20,900 median works out to about $1,740 a month, and the $35,000 Essential figure in the roundups to about $2,900 a month, before implementation.

What is the HireVue pricing model?

HireVue prices an annual program by headcount, interview and assessment volume and modules, not by recruiter seat. Plans are Essential, Enterprise and Premium. Overage charges are reported above the contracted interview volume, at roughly $5 to $30 per interview by one third-party estimate.

Does HireVue have a free trial?

No. HireVue offers no employer trial, free plan or self-serve purchase, read on 23 October 2026. It is free for candidates only. A paid pilot on one job family is something buyers negotiate rather than something HireVue offers by default.

Does HireVue charge an implementation fee?

Reported, yes. Pin and HappyRobot both cite $15,000 to $40,000 one time, and Pin adds $5,000 to $20,000 for a custom ATS integration. HireVue does not publish these, so get implementation as a fixed line in the order form.

What is a cheaper alternative to HireVue for finding candidates?

If the problem is sourcing and ranking people rather than interviewing a flood of applicants, HireAgent sources, screens, ranks and drafts outreach from $299 a month or $1,794 a year, with no implementation fee. For video interviews and validated assessments at volume, HireVue remains the specialist.
